January 2007
A Step in the Right Direction
In January we begin a brand new year, and with it there are many new opportunities as well.
Are you looking forward to the New Year?
Yet before we rush ahead into the excitement of what is in front of us, perhaps a brief look backward is in order.
What was 2006 like? What blessings did you enjoy? What challenges did you face?
Hopefully you faced each issue by seeking and following God's will for your life.
If you see any areas where you appear to have fallen short, now is the perfect time to set things right and begin afresh!
For the church it has been another good year. More people have come to know Jesus as savior and new families have joined our fellowship.
We were able to sell a portion of the excess land to acquire funds to cover the cost of needed utilities for the development of the
new property on Brownfield Road in South Union Township. We hope to begin this work later in the Spring of 2007.
I could go on and on praising the Lord for all he has done for us!
But what does the future hold?...
Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. -- Galatians 5:25
Actually, I cannot begin to predict what God has in store for us in 2007. But this I know; as we fulfill
our responsibility to seek His will and keep "in step" with the Holy Spirit, we will be greatly blessed!
I am excited for what I believe is just ahead for each of us and am recommitting myself to earnestly search for
and diligently follow His leadings.
May I lovingly challenge you to do the same?
Take a step in the right direction. In fact, why not stop reading this newsletter right now, bow your head and
ask the Lord to fill you with His Presence and help you obediently follow His perfect will throughout the coming year?
I'm sure, when you reach the end of 2007, you will be so glad you did!
God bless you and have a truly "Happy New Year" in the Lord!!
