So let each one give as he purposes in his heart,
not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

Enter Their World
It is a long-standing tradition in the Free Methodist Church to emphasize world
missions in the month of February. We continue in this tradition again this year. Our
denomination-wide theme is "Enter Their World" and it challenges us to reach out to people literally all around
the world.
"I entered their world... I've become just about every sort of servant there is in my
attempts to lead those I meet into a God-saved life." -- 1 Corinthians 9:22-23 (The Message)
Will it ever be possible to reach everyone in the world with the great gospel
message of salvation in Jesus Christ? How can I, as one individual, actually make a difference in this
world? The Apostle Paul gives us a hint on how to accomplish this massive task in the verse quoted above.
To win the world to Christ, we must have a willing spirit and a servant heart. We must take the
initiative and deliberately reach out to those in need.
First, you can begin by praying for our missionaries on the front lines out
in the field. Then, each of us can give financially to lighten the burdens of others less
fortunate and brighten their lives. "Bread Banks" and special offering boxes are available here
at the church. Finally, you might even consider going on a short-term mission trip to another
country to learn first hand of their struggles, needs, and dreams. Many have testified that
such a trip is a truly life-changing experience.
What we cannot ethically do is nothing. The command of Christ is
clear; we must earnestly seek the lost and win them to Jesus! What is the Holy Spirt saying to
you right now? Do you feel a tug in your heart to reach out to the hurting in another part of the
world? We are here to help you in any way to fulfill God's call on your life. Keep in touch.
May God help us to "Enter Their World" and be a living example of the love and compassion of
Jesus Christ!
