In Focus
How good is your eyesight these days?  Most of us understand that our eyesight is an extremely valuable and precious gift;  one we should work hard to protect and enhance.  How well do you see the hidden "treasures" in abundance all around us?  Look closely at the ground.  At our home you can see the spring plants and flowers pushing through the thawing earth.  They hold the promise of beautiful scenes and warmer days to come.

Now let me ask how good is your spiritual eyesight these days?  It is somewhat more difficult to grasp the significance and importance of good spiritual sight.  Yet, as God's people, we must learn to train our eyes to catch the signals the Lord sends our way on a regular basis.  It is vitally important to stay in tune with the Spirit that we may see and respond as he leads.
"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen.  For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”  --II Corinthians 4:18
What has God been showing you lately?  How has he been challenging you?  Are you tuned in?  Are you paying close attention?  Are you keeping God's plan and purpose for your life in focus?  Why is it so easy, in the busyness of life, to get off track and drift a direction we really don't want to go?

Yes, I am aware that I have once again succumbed to the temptation to offer more questions than solutions.  But it's sometimes necessary to ask ourselves searching questions to plow through the rubble that can block open and honest communication with our Maker.  With the aid of the Holy Spirit, take a good look at your heart and life right now.  If you find yourself wandering, ask him to help you get back in focus and stay there!  Maybe I can help you in your search for life's solutions.  I exhort you to join with me and many others this month as we journey together in seeking God's will for our lives.  Read through this newsletter carefully and avail yourself of the many opportunities to grow.  We're here.  Call if you need us!
Keeping in focus,
Pastor Jim

Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.
